The Dougie

“The Dougie” is a machine designed to move twenty spools from a circle onto four sticks, each holding five spools a piece.  The spools will begin inside a painted circle on a raised platform, lined up in rows four rows of five, which has an equivalent height to the platform where the sticks are mounted.  A comb will be lowered over the spools and its five teeth will drop in between the four rows of the spools and along the outsides of the spools.  The comb will then push the spools onto a conveyor belt, which has a gate system to prevent free roll of the spools.  The sticks will be lowered ninety degrees from the start position into the gate system of the conveyor belt.  The conveyor belt will then thread the five spools in each lane onto its corresponding stick.  Once all twenty spools on the sticks, the platform will raise back to its original start position, completing the task.
